Controls: Input Plus/Minus

The Input Plus/Minus control is an enhanced version of the Input Basic control, offering a simple and intuitive way for users to adjust numerical values through increment and decrement buttons. This makes it ideal for scenarios where fine-tuned adjustments or controlled value changes are required.

Key Features:

  • Increment and Decrement Buttons: The Input Plus/Minus control includes two buttons—one for increasing and one for decreasing the value entered in the input field. This provides users with a straightforward way to adjust numerical values without typing them manually.

  • Variable Binding: Just like the Input Basic control, the Input Plus/Minus can be connected to a variable, such as a fieldbus variable (e.g., CODESYS structure), so that the user’s adjustments are directly applied to the connected system.

  • Customizable Step Size: Define the increment/decrement step size (e.g., increase by 1, 0.1, 10) to suit the precision needed for your application.

  • User-Friendly Interface: The control simplifies data entry by providing a clear interface with visual buttons for adjusting values, making it easier for users to make adjustments quickly and accurately.

Use Cases:

  • Adjusting Parameters: Ideal for scenarios where users need to adjust numerical values like setpoints, limits, or configuration parameters. For instance, users could increment or decrement a target temperature or motor speed.

  • Value Fine-Tuning: When precise adjustments are needed, the Input Plus/Minus control is perfect for applications like tuning parameters in industrial systems, controlling volume levels, or adjusting thresholds.

  • Data Entry with Precision: Use this control to allow users to set values more easily by clicking buttons to fine-tune settings, especially in environments where manual entry might lead to errors or imprecise inputs.

The Input Plus/Minus control provides an intuitive and user-friendly interface for adjusting numerical values, making it a great tool for fine-tuned control and real-time system configuration.
